2025 has seen us get off to an even more promising start. With more new faces joining the band Saturday morning rehearsals in Whittle Methodist Church sound better than ever, with a lot of new pieces now in the repertoire. Our conductor Alaistair, working us hard as always.
It has been a busy 12 months, so the website has not been updated in a while, with some members of the band moving out of the area. At our AGM in April new committee members were elected, so please bear with us whilst we get the site updated and add new events and members to the Calendar and update the vacancies. Bookings are coming in for events throughout the year so do come along to see us if you can.
If you or anyone you know, would like to book or join the band, or have some tuition, please come along to a rehearsal or get in touch.

The end of year festive season has been a very busy one for Chorley Silver Band, playing at various events, activities and concerts all over Lancashire and the surrounding area.
From supermarkets to town halls, churches to schools, high streets and market places, the band has certainly been kept busy and had a wonderful time entertaining visitors.
To be held at:
Whittle Methodist Church, Preston Road, Chorley, PR6 7HU
10am Saturday 21st October 2023
The AGM will take place during our usual rehearsal time and we intend to rehearse as normal after the meeting is closed.
Ian Rigby
Ian is one of the magnificent seven that kept the band going through our toughest times.
In the last 12 months Ian has made one of the most important seats his own and backs up the others with support.
Many Congratulations.
Jonathan Morris
Jonathan is a fully deserving recipient and should be very proud that the members quite clearly voted for him.
Until recently he not only carried the front but also led the band superbly after moving from Tenor Horn to Solo Cornet when the band needed this due to shortages. Jonathan attends all the events and supports our Conductor with the learner group.
Susan Morris
& Helen Towriess
Susan puts in huge effort with her playing, sets very high standards for herself.
Helen hasn't been playing very long but has made her presence felt within the band. Her progress has been swift since joining us in 2022 and she gives 150% every time.
They are both constantly challenging themselves to improve and are both deserving winners.
